Fourth from Paraná state’s largest cities, tourists can reach to Foz do Iguazu by three different means: by plane, by bus, or by car. Whichever way you opt to get to the city, you can expect that your travel will be all worth it.
On a Plane
The only airport that has close proximity to the city is the Iguazu Falls Cataratas International Airport. It provides frequent air services to and from major cities in Brazil that include Santiago de Chile, Sao Paulo, and Rio de Janeiro. The airport has several facilities as well such as ATMs, WIFI zones, and Internet terminals to keep travelers comfortable.
On a Bus
Majority of Brazil’s cities are linked by bus transportation. A bus ride to the city will be about 7 hours if you are traveling from Curitiba and about 28 hours from Cuiabá.
On a Car
Driving your own car, you can reach Foz do Iguazu from Curitiba by taking the BR-227 highway which extends 632 kilometers in length. Located on Paraná’s extreme west side, Foz do Iguazu is 640 km away from Curitiba.
From Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, tourists can take highways BR-116/BR-277 and BR-116/BR277, respectively.
