When looking for a place to stay, why not try to maximize the hotel experience that you will be getting. There are a number of hotels in the city that offer free parking and Internet. Why stay at a hotel where you have to pay for these when you can book a stay at hotels that give you these services for free? Some hotels worth checking out are Comfort Hotel, Holiday Inn, Gran Marquise Hotel, Mareiro Hotel, and Hotel Praia Centro.
Free events
Some clubs in Fortaleza charge an entrance fee but there are actually a number of clubs where you can get in for free. One example is Orbita. They normally charge $5 for the entrance fee but if you get in before 10 PM then they don’t change that. They have live bands playing every night so you will be able to enjoy that. Of course, if you would like to have a bottle to drink, you will need to shell out some cash.
Fortaleza’s celebration of the Carnival is done at the end of July. There will be various processions, dancing, live entertainment and a lot of street performers that will be done as part of the celebration. The best part is you can witness this for free. You don’t have to pay to get to experience a Brazilian Carnival. If you would want to go into the events in clubs and bars along the beach though, this is where you will have to pay to get in. Free food
One way to experience Fortaleza’s cuisine in just one stop is to go to a food expo or food trade show. Different restaurants from the city usually participate in this event and this way you get a taste of each one just in one day. The best part is you can even do this for free. Some food expos offer are open to the public and you can enjoy the dish samples that the participating restaurants display for the public. So you basically get to hit two birds with one stone. You get to experience the delicious Fortaleza cuisine and you get to eat for free.
