There is a lot of transportation available in Belo Horizonte Brazil. Any tourist would not have a hard time traveling to the capital city of Minas Gerais and to the surrounding municipalities and cities.
The city has two airports, Confins International Airport, and Pampulha Airport. Foreign tourists will be arriving at Confins as Pampulha only caters to local flights. It is good to note though that from Confins going to the city’s downtown will be a long ride so it’s good to be prepared for this
From the airport, tourists can choose from the array of public transports to bring you to the central part of the city. One option is a taxi. There are a lot of taxis that service from the airport. Coopertaxi is one company that has been in the business for over two decades and was the first to introduce a radio taxi. There are also shuttles that can take you to your hotel. You must make sure though that the shuttle company is associated with the hotel you will be staying at. Car rentals are another alternative. If you want to explore the town and go at your own pace, then it is best to be your own driver.
The last option for transportation is the bus. This will take you to surround cities like Ouro Preto and Diamantina. You can either buy your ticket at the station or have it booked in advance and have it delivered to your hotel.
