When to Go

 

The weather of Sampa is pleasant all year round making it ideal to visit any time of the year. If you want to enjoy it on a summer, the best months to visit it is from October to February. This is when the weather is warmest and humidity is high. Winter on the other hand begins in June and ends in August; temperature during these months range from 55 degrees to 75 degrees.

 

If you want to catch the city’s best cultural events though, the best time would be from April to December. Carnival parade, fashion, music, and film events are just among the most anticipated happenings in the city during this month.

 

Banks and Bank Services

 

Avenida Paulista is home to many banks in the city which are usually open from 10 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon. You can turn to Action if you need currency exchange services with no additional fees. Several banks have ATMs that take international cards.

Delegacia de Turismo on the other hand, a police unit in charge of all of all tourist affairs is open on weekdays from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Language

 

Although surrounded by countries that speak Spanish, the national language in the country is Portuguese, so when planning to have visit in Sampa, try to learn a little Portuguese. It would help you feel at ease in the city if you learn to say “hello” and “thank you” in the natives’ language.
