This falls between the months of December and May. The dry season falls between the months of June and November. During this season, you still can expect a few rainfalls.

Banks in Manaus opens at 9 A.M and closes at 3 P.M. Businesses that are usually found in the downtown are open from Mondays to Fridays, between the hours of 8 A.M. and 12 P.M. then 2 P.M. and 6 P.M. Saturdays have office hours between 8 A.M. and 12 P.M. There are some establishments though that extends their opening hours, like some shopping centers that are open every day and closes at 10 P.M.

Every September 5 marks the day when Amazonas was given the province status. October 24 is the date of the anniversary of Manaus and December 8 is celebrated as the day of Our Lady of Conceição, the Patron Saint of Amazonas.
